Joyce Watson AM is supporting Armed Forces Day, to say thank you to Britain’s brave service personnel, past and present.
Armed Forces Day is a chance for people to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community – serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
On Saturday (24 June), at events happening across the country, people will celebrate our forces personnel. The organisers of this year’s campaign are asking people to show their support by giving a salute.
Mrs Watson said:
“Armed Forces Day is a fitting tribute to the men and women that serve and have served in our armed forces.”
Joyce, Labour member for the Assembly’s Mid and West Wales region, added:
“The recent incident at Castlemartin is a terribly sad reminder of the risks they take and the sacrifices they make on behalf of us all.
“I would like to congratulate the organisers of events taking place across Wales and the UK for giving us a chance to celebrate our fantastic forces.”
