Local AM Joyce Watson last week (5 July) met some of the inspirational people who use Leonard Cheshire Disability’s services in Wales.
Attendees of the Senedd event included Martin Williams who has reached the summits of Ben Nevis and Snowdonia in his wheelchair.
Mrs Watson said:
“Leonard Cheshire makes a huge difference to thousands of lives, supporting disabled people to live the lives they choose and campaigning to challenge ignorance and unfairness in society.
“It goes beyond social care – helping people find jobs and develop skills through employment, education, enterprise, health, volunteering and digital inclusion projects.”
Leonard Cheshire Disability Cymru is part of a world-wide alliance of Leonard Cheshire charities that help improve the lives of disabled people in 54 countries.
