It was a family affair when Labour’s Joyce Watson took the oath at the Senedd this week.
Her granddaughter Daisy had a first birthday to remember when she and Joyce’s two daughters, Heather and Fiona, came to Cardiff Bay to support her, as Joyce began her second term of office as Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales.
Joyce Watson AM (Mid and West Wales) said:
“I am honoured that the people of Mid and West Wales have put their trust in me to continue to serve them.
“It was very special for me to have three generations of Watson women together to witness this, as we enter this new phase of government.
“I’m delighted that we now have a Labour Assembly Government and an Assembly with new legislative powers to improve the life of the people of Mid and West Wales under Carwyn Jones’ strong leadership.
“I’m looking forward to playing my part in creating a better, fairer and more prosperous Wales.”
