AN ASSEMBLY Member has gone along to an Ammanford course which is designed to help people protect children from sexual abuse.
Joyce Watson has been lending her support to the Parents Protect! courses, which is organised by Stop it Now! Wales in partnership with Plant Dewi.
It aims to help mums, dads, carers and guardians to help spot early signs of sexual abuse in children along with concerns about the behaviour of adults, so they can act upon concerns for children’s safety.
Mid and West Wales AM Mrs Watson, who went along to a session on internet safety at Saron Village Hall, said the course was of real benefit.
She said: “Every parent and guardian frets about their child’s safety. What this course delivers is practical tips, advice and tools that can help adults protect children.”
